Books should be short
If you have a great idea, share it. Do it. Get out of the house and do the things you need to do. Permission is not readily given for new ideas. Safety is not guaranteed. But that shouldn’t stop you.
I love Seth Godin’s writing. It’s clear, concise, and IMO not always 100% accurate, but that is not the point. He’s trying to get an idea into your head.
This book is great because it’s short and it has one mission, to help you realize that you don’t need other people’s permission to start, that failure is inevitable, and that by becoming the kind of person who initiates things, you will be able to step ahead of the people around you who just follow orders.
Read this book. It will only take a day and it should inspire you to do at least one new thing.
A great book pairing for Poke the Box would be Better by Atul Gawande.
